All the information on what TV apps you can find on Virgin Media

By Virgin TV Edit

If the smorgasbord of TV channels can’t fulfil your insatiable urge for top-notch telly, then for you lucky Virgin Media customers armed with a TiVo® box, a V6 box, powered by TiVo®, or a Virgin TV 360 box or Stream from Virgin Media, there’s a plethora of apps offering oodles more top quality content for you to feast your eyes on (app availability depending on box, some subscriptions apply).

We’re adding brand new apps to our service all the time. What does that mean? It means you can watch even more of your favourite shows when you want.

With Box Sets, films, games and activities that keep the whole family entertained, there are plenty of apps to choose from. To find them on your V6 box, simply head on over to Home > Apps & Games > All Apps, and get watching. TV 360 customers can press Home > Apps, or use voice control and just say “apps”.

Netflix: For superb original series, movies and more

Netflix is where you’ll find some of the biggest hits of the streaming era, including Stranger Things, Bridgerton, Squid Game, The Queen’s Gambit and Wednesday, as well as 2023’s breakout hits like The Diplomat and The Night Agent. But there’s more to this streaming giant than top-class drama series. Netflix also brings you star-studded, acclaimed original movies such as Maestro, Don’t Look Up and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

And that’s not all: there’s hilarious stand-up comedy specials, a huge catalogue of beloved TV and films to discover (or enjoy again and again), and even games. Ever heard someone claim that they’ve “completed Netflix”? You can scoff that them. It will never happen.

Disney+: For fans of superhero action, brilliant sci-fi and hot reality TV

Disney+ is the dedicated streaming home for TV series and movies from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star, including exclusive Disney+ Originals – plus an ever-growing range of titles in Ultra HD. There’s something for everyone, with a huge collection of exclusive originals including feature-length films, documentaries, and live-action and animated series as well as short-form content. If you want unprecedented access to Disney’s long history of incredible film and television entertainment and the latest cinematic releases, it’s all there at a touch of a button.

Prime Video: For epic, mind-blowing drama and original movies

With Prime Video, you simply get TV of a kind you won’t find anywhere else. Big-budget, epic fantasy like The Wheel Of Time, Good Omens and The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power. Hyper-violent, sharply satirical comic-book stories like The Boys and Gen V. Intriguingly esoteric series like Deadloch, Upload and the animated Invincible. High-class action dramas like Reacher and The Terminal List. Brilliant reality shows like 007: Road To A Million and Clarkson’s Farm. Sports documentaries like Ronnie O’Sullivan: The Edge Of Everything and The Test. And there’s even more to come in 2024 including Fallout and Mr & Mrs Smith.

And it’s not just streaming series! Prime Video also gives you original and exclusive movies with big stars, including Toni Collette in Mafia Mamma, Jamie Foxx in The Burial and Gerard Butler in Kandahar, as well as fun new festive hits like Candy Cane Lane and Your Christmas Or Mine? You’ll never run out of entertainment with Prime Video.

Paramount+: For fans of Hollywood blockbusters, new originals and hit shows of every kind

Paramount+ is the home of huge global hit Western drama Yellowstone and its prequels set in the same universe, 1883 and 1923 (with more to come). It’s also where you’ll find the many iterations of beloved sci-fi franchise Star Trek, from the original 1960s series to the latest series Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks.

And there’s plenty more top-class entertainment besides, from hit shows such as the action thriller Special Ops: Lioness and sci-fi drama Halo to British original series The Burning Girls and The Castaways. Plus Paramount+ brings you blockbuster movies like Top Gun: Maverick and Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts. All in all, it’s a mountain of entertainment!
