Jon Richardson and wife Lucy Beaumont would like to invite you into their home in this brand new UKTV Original series. Shoes off, please…
Meet The Richardsons, Thursday 27 February, 10pm, Dave/HD (CH 127/227). Also available for 30 days in Catch Up > Channels > Dave
New and exclusive to Dave, Meet The Richardsons sees these married stand-up comedians (and young daughter Elsie) give viewers a fictionalised look at their new life in the West Yorkshire town of Hebden Bridge. Just don’t go thinking it’s all a bed of roses.
For long-suffering Lucy, it’s a time to get to know their neighbours and stunning surroundings (these windswept hills were once home to the Brontë sisters). But Jon – in his own curmudgeonly way – isn’t so keen on familiarising himself with the locals. All he wants to do is spend time in the pub he’s built for himself in his garden.
Episode 1 finds the couple competing on All Star Mr & Mrs, but Jon’s grudge against host Rob Beckett for replacing him as team captain on 8 Out Of 10 Cats threatens to ruin everything. The Richardsons also host a big birthday bash for Elsie, with their new neighbours coming to the house to join in the fun. Is Jon happy about all of this merriment? Of course not.
Featuring plenty of guest stars throughout its six episodes (including Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, and Jason Donovan), Meet The Richardsons is a hilarious and irreverent look at love and married life in all of its frustrating glory. Before the series starts on Dave, the stars of the show talk to us exclusively about their, ahem, unique relationship…
