We already knew Who Do You Think You Are? was unmissable telly, but when it was revealed that Danny Dyer was related to King Edward III in 2016 the show entered the public consciousness in a whole new way. It also created enough memes to fill the Queen Vic twice over…

 

Back for a sixteenth series, the BAFTA-winning show’s return is brimming with even more big names hoping to shine fresh light on their family history. From ancestors being burned at the stake, to diamond trading, wartime tragedy and the Spanish Inquisition (you know, all the cheery stuff), the new series is packed with the kind of fascinating, globetrotting stories that have made the show such a smash hit for the past 15 years.
