With Virgin Mobile, customers can get the Sony Xperia 10 III for just £18, plus a free pair of wireless headphones!
By Virgin TV Edit
The third instalment of the Sony Xperia 10 has landed, following in the footsteps of its lauded predecessors from 2020 and 2019. The grandson in this family tree, the Xperia 10 III is brimming with exciting features set to shake up the mid-range market, including a super tall HD display, a rear triple-lens setup and 5G connectivity. Let’s take a closer look…
Not just a pretty face
As with all Sony smartphones, a lot of effort has been paid to the phone’s 6-inch, Full-HD display, featuring OLED tech for immersive HDR viewing. Its Gorilla Glass 6 coating on the front and back will keep it protected against life’s bumps and scrapes, while the supporting plastic holds it all together.
With IPX5/X8 water resistance, the handset can safely be submerged in fresh water up to 1.5m for 30 minutes. And even if subaquatic photography isn’t your thing, at least you’ll not have to worry about any accident spillages (or unfortunate accidents in the bathroom!).
Something to smile about
When it comes to photography, Sony is no stranger to offering pixel-perfect perfection. On the back of the Xperia III there’s a tidy triple-lens setup boasting a 12MP main lens, an 8MP telephoto – to help you get closer to things far away – and an 8MP ultrawide to make sure you can always get the whole gang in the frame. If that’s not enough, you can shoot video in 4K at 30 frames per second, and snap crystal-clear selfies using the 8MP front-facing camera.
Under the hood
Just a quick skim down the spec sheet shows the Xperia 10 III means business. With a massive 4,500mh battery, you’ll quite happily make it all the way through the day and into the next on a single charge. And when you do need to power up, its USB-C quick-charging capability will get you back on your feet in no time.
If you love playing games and watching films on the go, you’ll be well served with the Snapdragon™ 690 processor and a whopping 6GB RAM. Multitasking will be easy with plenty of power to push through, while 128GB of internal storage offers plenty of room for downloads and apps.
Finally, to make sure all your private stuff stays that way, there’s a side-mounted thumb scanner for secure unlocking. Sitting flush with the frame, it doesn’t get in the way of normal use, and the more old school can rest easy with options to use pin- or pattern-based unlocking.
