Big news! All Virgin TV customers can watch the UEFA Champions League at no extra cost

By Virgin TV Edit

After all the thrills of a super-tight Premier League title race that saw some exhilarating football played, you might feel you need to catch your breath. But you don’t! Immediately after the end of the domestic season, attention turns to Europe. And the big news is that Premier League champions Manchester City are competing for continental glory in the final of the UEFA Champions League.

The even bigger news is we’re giving all Virgin TV customers the chance to watch this massive final at no extra cost.

Two of the world’s biggest clubs will enter the colossal Atatürk Stadium in Istanbul on Saturday 10 June for a titanic battle to get their hands on the enormous trophy and the honour of calling themselves champions of Europe.

For Manchester City, it’s their second Champions League final, and after the disappointment of defeat to Chelsea in 2021 they’ll be desperate to make this one count. Since that day they’ve added superhuman striker Erling Haaland to their squad and when he’s on form, and feeding off the creativity of Kevin de Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva, very few defences are able to stop City.

Although Inter have been European champions three times, most recently in 2010, the Milan club find themselves cast in the role of plucky underdogs against the might of Man City. But they have plenty of talent in their ranks, from Euros-winning midfielder Niccolò Barella to World Cup-winning forward Lautaro Martínez. City may have swept all before them in the Premier League this season, but they must not take their opponents lightly.

These two teams have never met in a competitive game before. If you’re looking for an omen, though, the only previous final held at the Atatürk Stadium ended in a victory for a team from north-west England over one from Milan…
