FORMULA ONE 2018 HEINEKEN ITALIAN GRAND PRIX, Sunday 2 September, 2.10pm, Sky Sports F1®/HD (CH 516/506)

Who needs the twists and turns of a taut TV drama when you can get all that and more with the 2018 Formula One season?

This is a campaign that’s been anything but predictable. Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel are locked into one of the most thrilling title races we’ve seen in a long time, and now the action is heading to magnificent Monza for the Italian Grand Prix. Bellissimo!

Victory for Hamilton would see the Brit claiming a record-equalling five wins at one of the most iconic venues in motorsports. The Mercedes maestro eased to maximum points here last year, overtaking rival Vettel at the top of the championship before going on to clinch the title.

More importantly, finishing the weekend at the top of the podium, drenched in the fizzy stuff, would see Hamilton take a significant step towards a fifth world crown.

But with the passionate home crowd roaring on all things Ferrari, this race is a great opportunity for Vettel to finish first and tilt the balance of power in his favour once again.

The German can never be written off. Having won at Monza three times before, the four-time world champion knows this track as well as anybody.

Speaking of the track, with few corners, plenty of long, sweeping straights, and an atmosphere that’s hard to top, the Autodromo Nazionale Monza delivers breathtaking action year after year. If you’re looking for heart-pounding thrills and a genuine sense of motorsport history, you’ll find it here.

The scene is set for an epic duel. Follow all of the drama live and exclusive on Sky Sports F1®.
