And then there were eight

The pressure’s on in the Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals, live on BBC One and BT Sport

With six Premier League clubs and two Championship sides left in the competition, it’s all to play for…

Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals, from Saturday 16 March, BBC One HD (CH 101/108) + BT Sport 2 HD (CH 528)

Expect tension, nerves and squeaky bums on the BBC and BT Sport this weekend as the quarter-final stage of football’s oldest cup competition heats up.

Before you tune into the action, check out the big numbers behind this blistering weekend of football, then read on for our round-up of the action.

The tastiest tie of the round sees in-form Manchester United head to Molineux to play a Wolverhampton Wanderers side that’s more than ready to pounce. With United still embroiled in the frantic battle for the top four and Wolves already safe in the league, is United’s quest for silverware about to get thrown off course?

Speaking of Manchester clubs, City return to Wales to face Swansea in an encounter that might not be as cut and dry as you first think. The Blues may have a squad worth around fifty gazillion pounds, but Pep Guardiola’s charges were made to work hard for their win over Newport County last time out. Add another passionate home crowd into the mix and the Premier League champions could well experience some Welsh woe.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace will take on Premier League rivals Watford at Vicarage Road, while the weekend’s action concludes at The Den, where Millwall will be looking to dump another top-flight team out of the tournament in the form of Brighton. The Londoners have a habit of claiming big scalps on their patch (just ask Everton) so the visitors should approach with caution. With all four matches live on BBC One and BT Sport, you can follow every crunching tackle, 30-yard belter and heart-in-mouth moment. Game on!
