It was another weekend of outstanding action in the Premier League, with glorious goals, vital victories, and managerial masterclasses all catching the eye. But what were the major moments that got everyone talking?

Read on for our round-up of the action…

1. Result of the weekend

Watford 1-2 Manchester United

What could have been another defeat for Manchester United turned into a hugely satisfying 90 minutes for José Mourinho and his players. Blending attacking panache and defensive sturdiness, the Red Devils held on for the victory at Vicarage Road and ended Watford’s perfect start to the season.

2. Goal of the weekend

Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) v Huddersfield Town

Honourable mentions go to Granit Xhaka, Willian and Andre Gray, but it was Zaha’s stunning winner against Huddersfield that really stood out this weekend. After cutting in from the left, the winger curled a wonderful finish past Jonas Lössl to clinch the three points. Pick that one out.

3. Performance of the weekend

Eden Hazard (Chelsea) v Cardiff City

Stamford Bridge really was the Garden of Eden on Saturday, with Chelsea’s talisman bagging himself a hat-trick to maintain his team’s perfect start to the campaign. Cardiff’s defenders will be having nightmares about his quick feet for a while yet.

4. Manager of the weekend

Jürgen Klopp (Liverpool)

Liverpool’s boss was at his hip-thrusting, fist-pumping, teeth-grinding best at Wembley, as he saw his side record a vital victory over Tottenham Hotspur. Having won all five of their matches this season, is there any stopping the Reds? Upcoming games against Chelsea and Manchester City will be a big test of their title credentials.

5. Not-so-sharp shooters of the weekend

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Yes, Wolves may have earned an important 1-0 win over Burnley on Sunday, but they sure made hard work of it. The hosts had a total of 30 shots on goal at Molineux, with just seven of those on target. Talk about leaving your shooting boots in the changing room.
