The Premier League provided us with even more sensational drama over the course of the weekend, but what were the massive moments that really stole the headlines?

Read on for our round-up of the action…

1. Result of the weekend

West Ham 3-1 Manchester United

To cap a rocky week for Manchester United, they were smashed by Hammers at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon. On an afternoon where it seemed the Red Devils collectively forgot how to play football, huge credit must go to West Ham for a committed, determined performance that continued their climb up the table.

2. Goal of the weekend

Daniel Sturridge and his Liverpool teammates celebrating after his equaliser in their 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge

Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool) v Chelsea

Sturridge 2.0 is proving to be a pretty handy super-sub for Liverpool, as demonstrated by his belter that claimed a late point for the Reds at Stamford Bridge. One powerful swipe of his left boot saw him find the top corner from 25 yards – and maintain his team’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

3. Performance of the weekend

Mark Noble (West Ham United) v Manchester United

Not that anyone was in any doubt, but Noble’s dynamic display against Manchester United showed us once again why he’s known as Mr West Ham. From covering every blade of London Stadium grass to an impressive range of passing, the heartbeat of the Hammers led from the front in typical fashion.

4. Manager of the weekend

Arsenal manager Unai Emery during his team’s 2-0 win over Watford in the Premier League

Unai Emery (Arsenal)

With a 2-0 win over Watford, the Spaniard continues to lead his quiet revolution at Arsenal. It’s now seven wins in a row in all competitions for the Gunners, and suddenly they’re just four points off leaders Manchester City. Arsène who?

5. Last laugh of the weekend

Joe Hart (Burnley) v Cardiff City

The Clarets’ goalkeeper faced a verbal bombardment from Cardiff’s fans during a crucial showdown in Wales, but did he let that get to him? Did he heck. Hart pulled off a string of fine saves against the Bluebirds, playing a vital role in his team’s 2-1 victory that lifted them to 12th.
