Virgin Media and eSight make the perfect team


Find out how Virgin Media joined forces with eyewear specialists eSight to help a group of visually impaired Southampton fans

Big news! Virgin Media recently teamed up with eSight to give visually impaired Southampton FC fans the chance to watch the team play at St Mary’s Stadium for the very first time.


eSight make eyewear like you’ve never seen before. Their advanced electronic glasses use cutting-edge technology to give wearers a crystal-clear, real-time image of what’s in front of them.


For the Saints’ Premier League match against Manchester City on Saturday 11 April, we custom-fitted a group of visually impaired supporters with the glasses, before inviting them and their loved ones to watch the game in a private box at the stadium.


And to cap it all, we moved our Virgin Media sponsorship logo from the sleeves of the Southampton players’ shirts to make way for Scope’s logo. After the match, these shirts were auctioned off, with proceeds going to Scope, who we’re working with to help get one million disabled people get in and stay in work by the end of 2020.
