UEFA Champions League action

Who will edge closer to greatness?

Who will edge closer to greatness?

It’s all to play for, as the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 reaches its thrilling conclusion live on BT Sport

Chelsea and Manchester United are among the teams eyeing up a spot in the quarter-finals

UEFA Champions League Round of 16, from Tuesday 13 March, 7pm, BT Sport

What’s better than a night of UEFA Champions League action on the box? TWO nights of UEFA Champions League action on the box, that’s what!

We already know who four of the quarter-finalists are, but now it’s time for some of European football’s biggest names to shine up their fluorescent boots, take centre stage and join their rivals in the next round. Because no one likes being forced to leave a party early.

Following a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea must travel to Barcelona and dispatch of Lionel Messi and co. if they want to progress. Sounds easy enough. Meanwhile, after playing out a goalless draw in Spain, Manchester United’s quest for a fourth European crown sees the Red Devils welcome Sevilla to the Theatre of Dreams in the second leg of their last 16 tie.

But it’s not just two of English football’s top clubs who will be taking to the field when the action kicks off. Italian giants Roma will be hoping to reach the quarters for the first time since 2008 at the expense of Shakhtar Donetsk, and five-time champions Bayern Munich can advance to the last eight for the seventh consecutive season if they get the job done against Besiktas.
