The A to Z of Wimbledon 2022!

The A to Z of Wimbledon 2022!

It’s one of the highlights of the sporting calendar, and ahead of the Wimbledon Championships, we’re bringing you everything you need to know – from A to Z

By Chris Miller, Writer

We love Wimbledon. You love Wimbledon. Even people who don’t like tennis love Wimbledon. It’s a grand old British summertime tradition dating back to the Victorian era, and it brings the country together to enjoy two weeks of elite-level sporting action from (ideally) a sun-drenched corner of south-west London.

It conjures up memories of great champions, rain delays, disputed umpiring calls, tantrums, new balls, celeb spectators, strawberries and, of course, noble British failures – and even the odd British success! It’s a high point in the sporting calendar every year, and it’s all live on the BBC.

Ahead of the Championships, we present your complete A to Z guide to Wimbledon – it’s (probably) everything you could need to know about this year’s tournament…
