Kids’ half-term telly round-up, from Monday 12 February

It’s an age-old question that’s left many a parent scratching their head: what’s on the box for the kids this half-term? Well, allow us to reduce any befuddlement you may be experiencing by bringing you up to speed on all the ace entertainment available to watch across Virgin TV during the break!

From awesome animated treats such as The LEGO® NINJAGO Movie, to top Box Sets available in On Demand and even shows that all the family can enjoy, like What Would Your Kids Do?, all bases are well and truly covered for when the school gates shut.

 

But what should you and the kids be keeping a close eye on this half-term? You’re about to find out, because we’ve picked out some totally unmissable shouts…
 

1. JoJo’s Access All Areas

From Monday 12 February, 4pm, Nickelodeon (CH 712)

Ready for laughs galore? You’d better be, because former Dance Moms star JoJo Siwa is here to present a whole week of side-splitting audition tapes, behind-the-scenes footage and hilarious bloopers featuring the stars of Nickelodeon.
 

2. Henry Danger

Find it in On Demand > Kids

Henry Hart is just your ordinary 13-year-old boy. Except that he also moonlights as a sidekick to superhero Captain Man, in the local community of Swellview. It sure beats doing a paper round. The problem is, Henry must keep his exciting double life secret from his friends and family, in this cracking comedy series. Watch all-new episodes in On Demand now.
 

3. February half-term on CITV

From Monday 12 February, CITV (CH 734). Also available for 7 days in Catch Up > Channels > ITV Hub

CITV is the place to be this half term for back-to-back episodes of loads of kids’ favourites, including Mr Bean, What’s New, Scooby-Doo? and Horrid Henry. Hurrah!
 

4. SpongeBob SquarePants

Find it in On Demand > Kids

Step into the weird and wonderful world of everyone’s favourite anthropomorphic sea sponge by tucking into a Box Set packed with all-new episodes. Loved by kids both big and small, it always delivers on chuckles.
 

5. The LEGO® NINJAGO Movie

Buy it on the Virgin Media Store now and rent on Virgin Movies from Monday 12 February. Also available in HD. Cert U

Want to settle down with the family and feast your collective eyes on a most marvellous movie? This will definitely do the trick. A teenager enlists the help of his fellow ninjas to defeat an evil warlord (who just so happens to be his dad) in this immersive animated adventure. Dave Franco (Now You See Me), Abbi Jacobson (Broad City) and Hollywood legend Jackie Chan are among the all-star voice cast.
 

6. Game Shakers

From Wednesday 14 February, 6pm, Nickelodeon (CH 712)

Check out brand new episodes of the popular US comedy about two schoolkids who become filthy rich after creating a video game app. The jammy devils.
 

7. What Would Your Kid Do?

What Would Your Kid Do?

Continues Tuesday 13 February, 8pm, ITV/HD (CH 103/113). Also available for 7 days in Catch Up > Channels > ITV Hub

Comedian Jason Manford presents the fun game show that asks parents how they think their little one would act in a variety of unique situations. Are they a lateral thinker? Are they a risk taker? Are they a rule breaker? All will be revealed, with the winning family going on to play for a top prize.
 

8. The Loud House Takeover

Continues Friday 9 February, 6.30am, Nicktoons (CH 717)

If the kids love the wacky exploits of Lincoln Loud (he’s a young boy who just happens to have ten sisters – what a nightmare!), then they’ll definitely want to tune into Nicktoons for a whole week of episodes of this animated sitcom.
 

9. Puppy Dog Pals

Find it in On Demand > Kids

Looking for a paw-some Box Set that the kids will go barking mad for? We’ve got just the thing. Catch up with canine brothers Bingo and Rolly as they get into all kinds of scrapes in new episodes of this pup-ular animated series.
 

10. Dara O Briain’s Go 8 Bit

Gaming nerds, assemble! The show that sees celebrity guests battle it out via the medium of classic video games returns for series 3. Gregg Wallace and Jodie Kidd are up first, while Jonathan Ross, Katherine Ryan and Kevin Bridges are all to come. Let pixelated combat commence with this late-night treat.
 

11. Dorothy And The Wizard Of Oz

Ever wondered what happened to Dorothy? Find out with this magical Box Set. After being crowned Princess of Emerald City, our plucky heroine and her best friend Queen Ozma embark on a series of incredible adventures that’ll have your little ones captivated. And don’t worry – the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion are all in tow in this animated favourite.
