They might be used to red carpets, endless perks and star treatment, but things are about to get wild in the great outdoors for a fresh batch of celebrities. Back for a new series on its new home, National Geographic, Running Wild With Bear Grylls will see ten famous faces attempt to prove their mettle by heading into the unknown with the survivalist.

From Panama’s crocodile-infested waters and Arizona’s red-hot canyons to underwater caves in Sardinia and freezing temperatures in Iceland, these celebs will need all their skill, resourcefulness and good old-fashioned determination to make it out the other side. And there won’t be a smartphone in sight.

“I am so proud that each Hollywood A-lister who joins me on these journeys through the wild always has such a life-affirming experience,” says Grylls. “That is what the wild does; it often takes us to the edge but then rewards courage and determination with a sense of pride that money cannot buy.”

But who are the famous names joining Grylls in the wild for an adventure of a lifetime? Here, we cast our eye over the ten tenacious participants testing themselves in some of the planet’s most extreme environments…
