Where you from, you Sexy Beasts?

Like The Masked Singer? Fancy a bit of Love Island? Keen on… animals?

Equal parts bizarre and brilliant, Sexy Beasts follows a group of singletons looking for love – minus the looks. With each wearing some truly imposing prosthetics, can they prove that love is blind?

A mouse and devil converse in Netflix's Sexy Beasts

“Yeah, so I’m really into John Steinbeck...”

Designed by a crack team of Hollywood mask and costume engineers, the characters our daters inhabit are truly a sight to behold. Once you get past the natural “OHMYGODWHATISTHAT” phase, you’ll be well and truly immersed as you watch an anthropomorphic mouse converse with a literal devil.

But what, pray tell, does one discuss on a blind date made even blinder by the fact you’re LITERALLY DRESSED AS A DOLPHIN?

If you answered in echolocating clicks, we’re impressed (that we even have underwater readers). But sadly, you’re wrong. Save your blubbering, for the correct answers, which our daters so, erm, eloquently construct, are so hilarious you’ll be laughing like a hyena.

Take the notoriously publicity shy “beaver”, who on being asked “What is your ideal woman?”, replies “Ass first, personality second.” – dam.

In and amongst the horny beavers, however, you’ll find pathos aplenty, as with any dating show. After all, these are real people under the hood, with hopes, dreams and ambitions that go far beyond building a shelter with naught more than their teeth and scrabbly hands.

“So, like... how are you even breathing?”

To make matters more baffling – and even more watchable – funnyman Rob Delaney narrates! Here’s hoping half his exclamations begin with: “What the…”
