Want to get the most out of your viewing experience with Virgin TV? Watch in High Definition, whether it’s on Virgin TV Ultra HD, in On Demand, or across a huge selection of HD channels

Your best viewing experience with Virgin TV

Your viewing experience is personal to you, and we want to help make it the best it can possibly be – to put the U in UHD, if you will.

Allow us to remind you of some of the amazing content available to you, and how to watch it.

Experience Ultra High Definition

Commit this number to memory: 999. That’s your UHD channel, so take some time to get to know it! If you want stunning nature documentaries or acclaimed television shows in the best possible picture quality, Virgin TV Ultra HD (CH 999) has it all. Tune in to catch season 1 of Baz Luhrmann’s incredible music drama The Get Down, dramatic thriller Bloodline and much, much more.

And your ultra-viewing experience doesn’t end there. You’re likely already familiar with the awesome action across the BT Sport HD channels, but BT Sport 4K UHD (CH 531) kicks things up several notches, with even more sporting detail squeezed into your tellybox. Lovely stuff.

You have loads of HD channels

There’s a whole treasure trove of sparkling HD goodness to enjoy on Virgin TV, plus lots of recent HD additions like Gold HD (CH 124), HISTORY® HD (CH 299), Crime + Investigation HD (CH 222), Love Nature HD (CH 293), Quest HD (CH 217), Freesports HD (CH 553) and ZooMoo HD (CH 739); giving you even more great telly with super-crisp detail. The format, of course, lends itself well to the shows and films on these channels. Have you ever seen a cheetah running in HD? Or watched someone score a goal in HD? You’ve just got to see what all the fuss is about. What are you waiting for?

Watch great On Demand content in HD

Outside live TV, you can continue living your best HD life in On Demand. From tense legal dramas like Scandal to fantastic films like Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, you’ll see every microexpression on the face of a witness and every dino detail, up close and personal. Seeing those dinosaurs in HD is about as close as you’ll get (and would want to get!) to the real deal.

Press the blue button!

“Ooh, what does this button do?” is probably something you’ve asked yourself many times when inspecting your remote control. Become better acquainted with your trusty TV sidekick with our Virgin TV remote guide.

“But what about the blue button?”, we hear you cry. Well, this one’s a bit magic. If you’re flicking through channels in the TV Guide and land on one that can also be viewed in HD, a prompt to press the blue button will appear. Press it and watch as the channel switches to its HD home before your eyes. It’s probably the easiest decision you’ll make all day. Now you just have to decide what to watch!
