Download the free Virgin TV Control app to as many compatible devices as you like, then use it to access, manage and control your Virgin TV box from a distance. Or from the sofa. Just make sure your Virgin TV V6 or TiVo® box is turned on, then open the app to manage recordings, watch your recorded programmes and more.

To set up your mobile device as a remote control, press Home on your Virgin TV box remote, then go to Help & Settings > Settings > Devices > Network Remote control Choose Allow network-based remote controls then open the app and tap More to reveal your on-screen remote. Then switch channels, set recordings and more from your phone or tablet.

What is a minimum period?

When you take any services from Virgin Media you will be committing to taking that service for a minimum amount of time (e.g., 18 months). Virgin Media call this a minimum period, minimum term or minimum commitment period but they mean the same thing. What if I cancel or move home?
If you cancel during the minimum period, you may need to pay an early disconnection fee, including when you move to a property outside of the Virgin Media Network area – this is because you will be asking to cancel your services early.
