Since Doctor Who came back to our screens in 2005, starring Christopher Eccleston (The A Word) and Billie Piper (Penny Dreadful), it has firmly established itself as one of Britain’s hottest TV properties. Out went the wobbly sets and hilarious aluminium foil-coated monsters of legend, and in came a slick, must-watch sci-fi show that had a whole new generation cowering behind their sofas.

Later this year, Britain will welcome the first female incarnation of the iconic Time Lord in Jodie Whittaker (Broadchurch), and we can’t wait! In fact, neither can the rest of you – because if you cast your mind back, you might remember that the big reveal of the thirteenth Doctor was nominated for the Virgin TV Must-See Moment Award at the Virgin TV British Academy Television Awards in 2018.

As if all this wasn’t exciting enough, BBC iPlayer is giving fans the chance to relive every episode since the seminal show returned to TV. There are Daleks, Weeping Angels, Cybermen and even that episode where Peter Kay plays a monster designed by a Blue Peter competition winner!

But before you settle down for a TV marathon, just how much do you know about the Doctor? Are you a total Whovian, or will these questions simply leave you asking… Who?
