What do professional critics know anyway? The people have spoken! Tune in live on E! to see how it all goes down…

The E! People’s Choice Awards 2018, Monday 12 November, 2am, E! (CH 156). Also available for 30 days in Catch Up > Channels > E!

By the people, for the people, this spectacular awards show – now in its 44th year – is back to give the public a platform to highlight their favourite film, TV and music talent. And this year’s ceremony has had something of a revamp, with E! on hosting duties for the first time! Plus, with the event now held in November rather than January, the award nominees will provide plenty of inspiration for your Christmas telly-watching plans.

Voting opened at the beginning of September in a whopping 43 categories across movies, TV, music and pop culture, with everything decided by public vote. Brand new categories – of which there are 13 – include The Revival Show of 2018, The Bingeworthy Show of 2018 and the hotly contested The Reality TV Star of 2018.

With all the votes now collated, the results will be revealed with razzle dazzle on 11 November at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. A host of stars will be battling it out on the night, with Ryan Reynolds, Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt all in the running for Best Action Movie, and Mandy Moore, Camila Mendes and Viola Davis duking it out for Best Female TV Star, as well as many, many more.

While this year’s event may have a new format, there are a few things that are (almost always) guaranteed to happen each year. So put a pot of coffee on to brew, get the snacks out and cross off the moments in real time with our play-along People’s Choice bingo card…
