Who is Big Zuu?

Who is Big Zuu?

Find out where you can watch the BAFTA-winning foodie, rapper and presenter taking over your TV right now…

By Laura Rutkowski, Senior Staff Writer

Big Zuu is not a regular chef. He’s a cool chef. The 26-year-old started out as a grime artist (and still is one) and now has a cookery book, a radio show on Kiss FM and his own brand of hot sauce, Big Zuu Bbquu, which you can buy with his debut album Navigate. You could say he’s spinning a lot of plates…

He’s probably best known for his Dave show Big Zuu’s Big Eats, where he cooks for a different celebrity guest each week. He picked up not one, but two, awards for the show at the 2022 Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards in the Entertainment Programme and Features categories. How did he celebrate? “By eating a kebab,” he told Time Out London.

Big Zuu is joined once again by his schoolmates Tubsey and Hyder as the show returns for series 3 with eight new episodes – and they’ve got a brand-new food truck!

Except, this time, it won’t just be Big Zuu doing all the cooking, his VIP diners will also feel the heat as they make a dish of their own when the truck goes on tour. Johnny Vegas sets out to reinvent spam in Stockport, while Mel B gets a taste for turmeric. After Big Zuu attempts to impress Katherine Ryan with a gluten-free sandwich, vegan poutine and Canadian sponge cake, what will she whip up in return?
