It’s only early days, but 2019 is already shaping up to be the year of reality TV

Unmissable reality TV in 2019

Whether it’s sparkling new shows like The Greatest Dancer and Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club, rebooted classics such as Shipwrecked, or returning favourites Keeping Up With The Kardashians, The Great British Bake Off and Love Island, the next 12 months are packed with enough entertainment to satisfy even the fussiest of viewers.

 

But with so much on the box to wrap your head around, you might be left more confused than a Jersey Shore cast member trying to complete a cryptic crossword. Not to worry. With 2019 geared up and ready to go, here are the 15 reality TV shows you need to know about…

 

Winter

Shipwrecked

Coming in January to E4/HD (CH 106/145)

Channel 4’s classic reality show set around a group of young and – would you believe it? – attractive people stranded on a desert island is back for a new series after seven years away. Hurrah!

 

The Voice

Coming in January to ITV/HD (CH 103/113)

A new year, a new series of the popular singing competition. Some things are staying the same (Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson, Olly Murs and Will.i.am are all returning as judges), but this time around, trios will be allowed to enter the contest. Could three be the magic number?

 

Celebs Go Dating

Coming in February to Channel 4/HD (CH 104/141)

Ex-Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona, Hollyoaks actress Chelsee Healey and Pete Wicks (The Only Way Is Essex) are among the stars going on dates with members of the public in a new series of the dating show.

Jersey Shore Family Vacation

Seven party-loving members from the cast of Jersey Shore are holed up together in Miami for a month, as this US offering returns for season 3. What could possibly go wrong? Spoiler alert: quite a lot.

Reality TV’s royal family return for season 16. Season 16. Just let that sink in for a second. But what should you expect to see when Kim, Kris, Kylie, Khloé et al return to the box?
