Hit the Hub!

Hit the Hub!

The ITV Hub is chock-full of fantastic entertainment, including Ant & Dec’s DNA Journey. Let’s get stuck in

Oh the weather outside is frightful. So what are you doing standing outside? This TV isn’t going to watch itself (even a smart telly can’t do that!)

Find the ITV Hub in Catch Up > Channels > ITV Hub

It’s that time of the year when conversations about weather morph from small talk with people you vaguely know into Important Life Decisions. Temperature, wind speed, hour-by-hour meteorological breakdowns – all of it with the noble intention of letting you forge ahead with an informed outfit decision. Then you leave the house, find out your weather app outright lied, and spend the day shivering/sweating/sodden.

There’s none of that nonsense on the sofa. So, forget outdoors – park yourself on the cushions and get stuck into some fine telly. It doesn’t matter what time your sofa session is taking place, because the ITV Hub has you covered so you can catch up whenever you want. Here’s what you may have missed…

Ant & Dec’s DNA Journey

Ant & Dec's DNA Journey

Available on the ITV Hub until Wednesday 11 December

The I’m A Celebrity hosts embark on their most personal journey yet in this two-part special as they uncover their family histories using a combination of DNA and genealogy. Incidentally, should Ant and Dec ever revive their music career, DNA would also be a top-drawer name for their act.

Love Island Australia and Love Island USA

BREAKING: there is more than one Love Island – and the US and Australian versions are now on the ITV Hub. So, not being funny, but crack on you melt, and get to know these salty shows, because 100% on paper it is what it is. If you understood any of that, you’ll be in TV heaven!

Will these versions of Love Island contain all these hallmarks of the UK version?

Plebs

The long-running (and award-winning) sitcom based in ancient Rome has reached its fifth series – but the quality remains as high as ever. This series features appearances from Amanda Holden, Phil Davis and Tony Robinson – yep, Baldrick meets Grumio (Ryan Sampson). Should be a meeting of minds…

50 Shades Of Green With Alan Titchmarsh

A round of fizzy juice for the person who came up with the title for this show. Good news: as the nation’s favourite gardener turns 70, this countdown celebrates his favourite things found in Britain’s most important and spectacular gardens. Bad news: it’s nothing like those books.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Kate Garraway in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

The new series continues, and it’s already a stone-cold classic. Whether it was Kate Garraway revealing the final destination for a bunch of cockroaches (Down Under probably covers it) or “national treasure, queen of Wakefield” Jane McDonald making it into the camp as a luxury item, it’s had it all.

Doc Martin

It’s series 9, and Portwenn’s brilliant but belligerent GP Martin Ellingham (Martin Clunes) is under scrutiny by the General Medical Council – at the start of the run, a GMC representative (Tom Conti) arrives to assess Martin and his surgery. At least nobody needs to ask him, “What’s up, Doc?” this series…

Paul O’Grady: For The Love Of Dogs

“Fancy crying uncontrollably for half an hour?” should really be this show’s tagline, as it returns for an eight-part series at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. O’Grady’s signature wit and warmth are on full display as he rolls up his sleeves while the furry four-legged residents look for love, care and a new home.

The Chase Celebrity Special

Bradley Walsh: The Chase Celebrity Special

If you can’t get enough I’m A Celebrity in your life, this special episode features past stars, including EastEnders’ Rita Simons, Hollyoaks’ Malique Thompson-Dwyer, The X Factor’s Fleur East and The Vamps star James McVey. Will they be saying “get me out of here” when they face the chasers?

The X Factor: Celebrity

This year, the regular show has been turned over to celebrities, and it has been everything we wanted to it to be. Who would have ever predicted that in 2019 we’d be watching Vinnie Jones singing off against one of the kids from Glee? The absolute golden age of reality TV, people.

Gino’s Italian Express

This Morning favourite Gino D’Acampo (not to confused with RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Divina De Campo) is back in his home country, travelling on Italy’s railways and taking in spectacular landscapes on some of the most scenic journeys in Europe – and enjoying plenty of good food along the way.

Riding A Dream

This unmissable documentary film tells the story of 18-year-old British Muslim woman Khadijah Mellah and her incredible Magnolia Cup win at the Glorious Goodwood Festival. The student from Peckham went from having never sat on a horse until April this year to winning her first-ever race four months later.

Zomboat!

The only way to avoid the oncoming zombie apocalypse in Birmingham? Canal boat, of course. Sisters Kat (Leah Brotherhead) and Jo (Cara Theobold) team up with new travel companions Sunny (Hamza Jeetooa) and Amar (Ryan McKen) in this comedy-drama. If you missed it the first time, get on board.

England’s Grand

This 90-minute special sees England gaffer and waistcoat trendsetter Gareth Southgate join up with Harry Kane, Ian Wright and more for an A-to-Z journey through the history of the England football team. England reached their 1,000th match in November, although one specific game in 1966 comes up a fair bit.
